Doing this exercise- of pinning up this reading- I became aware of the key word- in the name of our day reader:

Strengthening MY Recovery.

Having spent much of my life considering other people. And actually helping others- is much of an illusion.

It does come down to -connections- with healthy flexible boundaries that honours personal space- both my own, and others.

SINCERE EFFORT is the key phrase for today- 28th of May.

It does not have to be frenetic desperate effort. It does not have to be sad backing off, and desultory defeat.

Managing to achieve a balance is what I achieved here with two MIP, Miracles in Progress groups... ...and I achieved a balance between two- ACA, and Alanon. And maintaining a balance, within the group- with our compromising too much, and without giving away far too much.

Having peers, has been essential here. It takes one to know one- in the company of other adult children. We share the same sort of sensitivity... have have the same sort of issues. And we all have similar goals and dreams.

Isolation, and alone-ness is the featured Laundry List One.

To break free of this we have to learn to trust. We have to find things worth trusting.

Peers- other group members- was my way of doing this. aww ...

Short and sweet.
