The bad news- it that is does seem to take time- especially for people of a certain age... ...
...but for me it is working okay...
...anyone can join our main meeting board. I have been on both sides- wanting desperately to belong to something [lots of things!]
and on the other hand- seeing people coming forward- in ACA- and in other spheres... ...
On our main message board we have all bin together for 3 or 4 years- so by now we read each other's semaphores.
What I liked most was learning "the buzz words". Ah were bought up in a backwoods place- and when Ah went to t'city- had to learn the jargon and the argot of the streets.
Even today- at the age of 67- if I am in a shop- or in other company- ah kin drop into that lingo- and people kin pick up where ah have bin. it is a great social palliative.
And here it is the akronymns- ACA, SO. what an A. is and a FOO!!! ...
at first sight it does seem like a furrin language!
We draw down barriers- and create healthy boundaries... a good a saying as any.
We all have the right to be wrong... figuring this out got me on a learning curve- where I had been stuck for years.
I just pretended a lot... that I knew what was going on around me...
...if I had a vision for this board- ah would like to see people- just drop in here- and make it their own! ...
y'all would get a bit of oversight from "the motherboard"... but, for one, I would give you what I got here- a chance to make our own waves; create y'all's own set of reality- that y'all could share; and to create your own norms- as a group.
That was my experience, anyway...
At the moment I am the only mod. here... some time that should change- all in its own good time...
this place had tried my patience- on a daily basis!!!
